I’ve been blogging since May 2006. On 31 July 2006, I took a short break from my blogspot blog to experiment here at wordpress.com. I went back to blogger after a month. By then, they had rolled out blogger beta but, while blogging over there, I was still fiddling over here with this blog. Guess I couldn’t get it off my system. Then in Nov’06, I decided to give my wordpress blog another go. I’m still here. π
“Pseudonymity describes a state of disguised identity resulting from the use of a pseudonym or pen name” (wikipedia entry). Using a pseudonym doesn’t mean I do it out of fear. Instead, one of the uses of a pseudonym is to direct & focus the attention of readers to the posts in this blog. And not on who the blogger might be; what are his/her pet peeves; what colour undergarments does he/she use; what’s his/her political or sexual orientation…blah blah blah!! π
I was born and raised in Singapore. Lived here all my life. I live where 80-90% of Singaporeans do – in an HDB flat like the ones in this picture.
I do not hold any degrees or honours nor am I a scholar, expert, elite, etc, etc. But I love to read though. Alot. My diet is made up of non-fiction, eg. current affairs; politics; social issues; race & religion, etc. And I like to observe. See, hear and experience what’s going on around me. I’m just one of the many ordinary Singaporeans whose daily lives is a constant struggle to make ends meet.
Now, there wouldn’t be any point of calling my blog Pseudonymity if i go further and tell you more about myself, would it. π
I used to sign-off (display name) my posts/comments as article19 but on the 4th of July 2007, I decided to just stick to Pseudonymity. Reason is simple: I’m generally known or referred to in the blogosphere as Pseudonymity and not article19. I didn’t want to confuse readers with too many names. Other then that, I’m still the same person. π

i came by your blog by accident – but what a happy accident. now living in Perth the next 4 years, as a very mature student – i refused to go to uni in M’sia – University Act notwithstanding, the sad state of education deterioration is worrying for my country’s future. your blog is a godsend in that i am about to reference it in my essays on sociology.
another godsend is the fact that you are a brave singaporean. being half-singaporean myself, i am now utter dismayed at the state of affairs – socio-politically speaking…
keep it up! and kudos to you. you now have an avid fan in me.
Dear neemleaf, Thank you for visiting my blog and for the kind and encouraging words. π
